British and American pool in Marrakech
THE BLACK SPOT is a pool hall and billiards club in Marrakech where you can play both British pool and American pool. It is on Rue Yougoslavie in Guéliz, with snooker tables and a restaurant in the same venue.

British pool
British pool, also called English pool or blackball, uses two colour groups instead of numbers: seven reds, seven yellows and the black, plus the cue ball.
The balls are smaller and the tables are usually smaller too, with pockets cut tighter to the ball. Safety play and precise position matter as much as potting.

American pool
American pool is played with sixteen balls: the white cue ball and fifteen numbered object balls. Balls one to seven are solids, nine to fifteen are stripes, and the black eight ball sits between them.
The most popular game is eight-ball: each player claims solids or stripes, clears their group, then pots the eight to win. Nine-ball is a faster rotation game played with balls one to nine, always hitting the lowest-numbered ball first.
