The spots on a snooker table
Every colour has its own spot. Select a ball to see where it sits and what it is worth.
Black7 points
The black spot, 324 mm (12¾ in) from the face of the top cushion. The highest-value ball.
How a frame works
Players take turns at the table. A visit starts by potting a red, then a colour of your choice, then another red, and so on. Reds stay down; colours return to their spots.
Once all the reds are gone, the colours are potted in order: yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and finally the black. A perfect break of fifteen reds with fifteen blacks, then all the colours, scores 147.
