Black Spot Amateur Snooker Tournament 2025 (1st edition)
The first Black Spot Amateur Snooker Tournament was played at THE BLACK SPOT, in Guéliz, Marrakech, from 18 to 21 April 2025. Thirty-two amateur players entered the knockout draw, and Ahmed OBS won the tournament after beating Zakaria Koumairi in the semi-finals.

A tournament for amateur players
Five months after the first Black Spot Snooker Grand Prix, THE BLACK SPOT held its first snooker tournament for amateur players. The club announced it in early April 2025 with a promotional video shot in front of the venue, and asked players to book their place.
The draw, the schedule and the dress code
The draw sheet, published on 17 April, had 32 names. Every first-round match had a set time on Friday 18 or Saturday 19 April, between 10:00 and 17:00.
Players were asked to arrive on time and to respect the dress code: city shoes, tailored trousers, a shirt and a waistcoat, the classic snooker outfit.
Semi-finals and winner
The semi-finals were played on Monday 21 April at 11:00: Zakaria Koumairi against Ahmed OBS, and Ali Squali against Mohsine Paloma.
Ahmed OBS won the tournament. The club's recap video presents him as the winner with the trophy, and he was tagged in the prize-giving video that followed.
A friendly, competitive atmosphere
THE BLACK SPOT described players from all walks of life, intense concentration mixed with cheers and laughter, and competition that was fierce yet friendly. The club closed the tournament by thanking the players and promising a next edition.
Ahmed OBS also plays in the club's main tournament: his run to the last 32 of the first Grand Prix earned him a group B seeding for the Black Spot Snooker Grand Prix II in December 2025.
